Nine new cardiac beds were opened in September 2008, increasing the bed capacity for cardiac services to 31 beds on 5 South and 6 acute cardiac beds in Coronary Care on the 3rd floor.
Second Stage
A third Angiography Lab is due for completion in April 2009 giving Flinders Private the largest private angiography suite in Adelaide.
The 24 hour Chest Pain Centre has also been refurbished in this build, improving patient flow and increasing bed capacity. CPC is adjacent to the new Angiography suite should immediate transfer be required in a cardiac emergency.
All patients can access the Chest Pain Centre 24 hours WITHOUT doctor referral.
