The ACHA Health Foundation

The ACHA Health Foundation was established to assist, promote and further enhance the services provided by Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital through providing funds for medical equipment, facility upgrades and other programs.
Being an incorporated body and a registered charity, all donations $2 and over are tax deductible.
Two members of the ACHA Board of Directors are Foundation Trustees. The Foundation is chaired by Rev Dr Tony Nancarrow, and supported by fellow Trustees Drs Phil Munt and Bronte Ayres.
The Foundation provides community members, grateful patients and their families with a unique opportunity to support ACHA’s mission to provide an integrated range of quality medical, surgical and related health services in a safe and caring environment.
Gifts to the Foundation will help to serve the future of our hospitals for generations to come. Gifts can be immediate, ongoing or designated through a will or estate planning, for either a specific purpose at any one of ACHA’s hospitals, or as a non-specific donation. Most donations are received from individuals or families, in many cases in memory of their loved ones.
Following are examples of how donations to the Foundation have been used:
Ashford Hospital
- A refurbished intra-aortic balloon pump, oncology monitor and wheelchairs
- A 3D Transoesophageal Transducer for use in the Cardiac Care Unit
Flinders Private Hospital
- An endoscopic CO2 regulator
- Four electric recliner chairs for use in the Chemotherapy Day Unit
The Memorial Hospital
- Eye surgery equipment and furniture
- Six electronic lift chairs
- A syringe pump for the Critical Care Unit
Other
- A one year licence fee for a web based, on-line therapeutic guide for promoting the quality use of medicines
- Staff member education sessions during Australian Gastroenterology Week
The Foundation Trustees sincerely thank everyone who supports ACHA in this manner and look forward to ensuing the Foundation’s good work continues to assist in maintaining ACHA’s position as leaders in South Australian health care for the years ahead.
Donation envelopes are available in each ward, at the main reception of our hospitals and from the Foundation Office. For further information or to make a donation, please contact the Foundation Office on (08) 8275 3587 or email foundation@acha.org.au.
